Sterling engines are very cool. These devices have been around since 1817 and you can actually see an advertisement for one in our 1889 New Orleans Business Directory. They work by using two different temperatures, one hot, and one cold, to make power. In this video you’ll see a home made version using a candle as the hot source, and the room air as the cold.
